Notes Illustrating Photographs

The only site that is not at a jetty or a groin. It is near 311 and 309 Beachfront, south of Pompano Avenue.

The site was selected to give a close-up view of the beach that was north of the celebrated groin that used to be near 333 Beachfront.

The photos at right were taken later in 2007.

Bottom: From N to S: (1) the wooden groin with the missing end sheeting is at Site H, (2) the short groin ending in the beach is Site J at 333 beachfront, (3) the long groin extending into the water is Site K, (4) Site L is at a wooden groin barely visible behind the groin at Site K, (5) a stone groin at Site M extends into the water, (6) the inlet jetty where Site N is at.
